This article explores the latest fad of taking young girls for spa treatments - including bikini waxes. Thoughts?

After reading about half of the first page of this article i realized how crazy some people can be. The fact that some mothers would take their daughters to get a bikini wax during there lower teens boggles my mind. Either these girls have so much hair that they can be compared to the kokanee saskquach or their mothers are losing their minds. Possibly the mothers want the children to look nicer and to be accepted by their peers or they are using their children to have the childhood they now wish they had growing up(which is insane). The only part of this article that made any sense to me was when the authur talked about a neck cramp he had where his mother booked him a message appointment. That is a good idea because he obviously had a physical problem, but when it comes to 12 year olds going to spas so they can relax i just shake my head. Can a 12 year old be that stressed out that she needs to get a message? i'd say not if her parents are willing to book her an appointment. This whole article just seems crazy to me, i think i need to go to a spa after reading it cause i am all stressed out.
You know... I was watching The Cosby Show about a week ago and the episode was about one of the girls wearing make-up before she was allowed. Then that was a big deal, but now mothers take their daughters for bikini waxes. This really is the downward spiral that religious activists always talk about. Realistically, why does a 14 year old girl need a bikini wax? Next thing mommy's gonna be throwing condoms in her lunch for her noon play-date with the boy down the street. there's really something fundamentally wrong with this.
I don't see what parents waxing their children (a hygeine/appearence thing, although pointless, as I believe the hair serves some sort of hygeinic purpose) has to do with religious activists debating abortion and stem-cells, but I can see what you're saying.
